Has to take court-ordered classes (DWI, anger, parenting)

Use when a judge, probation officer or CYFD told someone to finish a class (DWI school, victim impact panel, anger or domestic violence classes, parenting class) and they need to find one, pay for it, or get there.

In danger right now: call 911. Crisis or thoughts of suicide: call or text 988. Not sure where to start? Call the Silver City Gospel Mission: 575-388-5071. Police, fire or sheriff, not an emergency: 575-388-8840 (Central Dispatch). Print our list of phone numbers →
These are the same steps our staff use when they help someone. "They" means the person who needs help: you, or someone you are helping. Go in order, and call ahead when you can.

1Find out exactly what was ordered

You can ask"Who ordered the class: the judge, probation, or CYFD? Can I see the paper?"
Find the class name, the number of hours, the deadline, and who gets the proof.
You can say"Before you pay for any class, make sure the court or your officer will accept it."
