1Explain Double Up

You can say"When you use SNAP at the farmers market, you get the same amount free to spend on New Mexico-grown fruits and vegetables."
There is no sign-up. Anyone with a SNAP EBT card can use it.
You can ask"Do you have your EBT card? Can you get to the Silver City Farmers Market on Saturday?"

2How it works at the market

Go to the market information booth first. Swipe the EBT card for the amount they want to spend.
They get wooden SNAP tokens ($1 each). These buy any SNAP food at the market: bread, eggs, meat, cheese, fruit, vegetables.
For every $2 of SNAP, they also get a free silver Double Up token ($2). The free tokens are not taken off the card.
Silver tokens buy New Mexico-grown fruits, vegetables, dried beans, fresh herbs, and vegetable or herb plants.
Silver tokens do not buy honey, jam, eggs, meat, bread, nuts or seeds.
