3Keep them comfortable

Give small sips of water or other clear fluids often.
Dress them in light clothes. Use one light blanket. Don't bundle them up.
Let them rest in a cool, quiet place.
Don't put them in a cold bath or rub them with alcohol.
Never give aspirin to a child or teen.

4Get care soon if

A child under 2 has a fever for more than 1 day, or an older child for more than 3 days.
An adult has a fever of 103 F or higher, or a fever lasting more than 3 days.
They are not peeing, have a dry mouth, or cry with no tears.
They seem to be getting worse, not better.
